This is a 4,500 mm wheelbase two-axle crane-truck chassis. The base vehicle is a Sinotruk Howman on a 2.1 m wide single-row wide-body cab, with a Weichai 220 hp engine, a Fast 8-speed gearbox and a 153 rear axle. The frame is 250 mm deep and locally reinforced in three layers, which is what the crane and the cargo body mount on. Gross vehicle weight is 14,060 kg on the ZZ5148JSQG17FB0 homologation model and 16,000 kg on the ZZ5168JSQG17FB0, and the cargo body runs 5.0 to 5.4 m.
Left-hand drive (LHD) is standard. Right-hand drive (RHD) is available on request and is built to order.

Why this configuration
The cab is 2.1 m wide and single-row, with a full interior trim, leather seats, power windows, central locking and a remote key, so it drives more like a car than a working truck.
Weichai supplies the 220 hp engine and Fast the 8-speed gearbox: a large-displacement engine and a high-torque transmission, which is what a crane truck needs when it has to move a loaded body and then work the crane on the same trip.
An aluminium fuel tank and the 250 mm three-layer frame carry the crane and the body, and the factory electric-control air conditioning is specified for hot markets.
