This is a 6x2 crane-truck chassis on three axles: a steering axle at the front, a 5 t lifting axle in the middle and a 10 t drive axle at the rear. Two wheelbases are built — 4,300 + 1,300 mm with a 6,600 or 6,700 mm cargo body, and 4,700 + 1,300 mm with a 7,200 or 7,300 mm body. Power comes from a Yuchai diesel in two builds: 240 hp from 5,132 cc (YCK05240-60) and 245 hp from a 6,234 cc six-cylinder (YCS06245-60A), both through a Fast 8-speed gearbox. The frame is a full-length 300 × (8+8+6) mm three-layer frame, the fuel tank is 200 L aluminium and the tyres are 10.00R20. Gross vehicle weight is 24,500 kg with a rated payload of 10,645 kg.
Left-hand drive (LHD) is standard. Right-hand drive (RHD) is available on request and is built to order.

The Lifting Second Axle
The middle axle of this chassis is a 5 t lifting axle. It is lowered when the truck is loaded, so the weight is shared across the rear group instead of sitting on the drive axle alone, and it is raised off the road when the truck runs empty or light.
The result is a three-axle truck for axle-load compliance that runs as a two-axle truck when the load does not need the third axle. It is lowered and raised from the cab as the load changes.
